Saturn Finally Stations Direct From Retrograde – Are You in Control?

Saturn leaves the last retrograded position while in Sagittarius on August 25 and marches directly into Capricorn. While in Sagittarius, Saturn challenged our ideas of religion, spirit and philosophy.  Because he demands order and structure – Saturn has been asking us to codify our beliefs and put them into action.

When in Capricorn, the sign ruled by Saturn – the challenge will be to understand better how you work in linear space and time and with authority figures. Also, learn how much control you have over yourself and your life. To me that is a big topic that people ignore. We have to be “captains of our own destiny” and that is something we often forsake. Control does not mean blaming others and failing to make decisions. This time of Saturn in Capricorn is a great time to learn how to get more direction over your life!

Remember, that Saturn will transit the Galactic Center on its way to Capricorn. This is a huge black hole, therefore is in a state of disunion and chaos. Mercury in Retrograde in Virgo!

OK all of you Mercury Retrograde lovers this is your chance! The planet has just retrograded in the constellation of Virgo. Now this is an interesting combination. Mercury, of course, is the communicator – the ancient messenger from the gods. Virgo can be quite reticent. Virgo does go for “blab and show.”

What better time to assess words that don’t need to be sent? What better time to check your words before you send them out into the universe? Apply the Virgo precise analysis  to the words you are about to say and see if you will regret them once they are let loose.

Ready for the Lunar Eclipse Today?

Find you Moon! 

We are hearing so much about the solar eclipse happening later this month that some are forgetting about the lunar eclipse occurring on August 7.  This is an Aquarius eclipse – the sign of innovation, rebellion, hyper-intelligence and originality. Where the eclipse occurs in your chart is a terrific place to re-invent and revive your emotional responses to life!

Because Neptune and Pluto will be intersecting the path of the eclipse this would be a perfect time to assess the emotional responses you are (or not having) toward your spiritual practices. Are you just going through the motions or you deeply feeling what you are doing? Perhaps it is time to revive some of what you are doing to really connect with spirit! 

The Beauty of Neptune in Retrograde

Neptune is in its ruling planet, Pisces, but has been retrograded for most of this year. Neptune is literally our connector to the “god.”  Someone with a strong Neptune/Pisces presence in his or her chart has a spiritual or physic ability – the more Neptune the better the connection. Of course, if in a debilitated state, the person can exhibit the shadow aspects of Neptune which are disassociations with reality. Because Neptune loves to dwell in spirit, it is easy for them to forget that they have to live here in the physical.

While in retrograde, a planet asks us to go within ourselves and find how we can better use the energies it gives us. Therefore, during this time of Neptune retrograde we can ask two questions:

  1. How can I better connect with the universal source?
  2. Where am I hiding from a reality in life that I would prefer not to see?

Working on those two arenas will help you attune more to what Neptune wants to give us.
