The Virgo Stellium

We will have a stellium (five or more planets in one sign) in Virgo starting in early August. Mars enters the constellation on August 8, and then Venus jumps in on the 21st. Juno will join the Sun when it moves into Virgo on 23rd and Mercury follows the next day. With the exception of Juno, these are all “personal” or close in planets. Mars deals with our aggression (not always a bad word) and forward movement. Venus, is love, receptivity and financial acumen and Mercury, is our communicator, how we process and send forth our thoughts. The Sun is our internal spark. It is easy to see why these are personal planets as they all perform integral parts of everyday life. The outlier, Juno, an asteroid, is our loyalty barometer.

Virgo is the worker-bee of the zodiac. Her areas of concern are feeding, caring and working the body. They are into perfecting – their work area, their bodies, the entire world around them. The downside to Virgo is a criticism – self-criticism.  If perfection is your goal – how can you not always fall short?

This is a good time to analyze each of these areas with an eye toward how you might always feel you (and your loved ones with Juno’s involvement) fall short. Where do you demand nothing short of perfection in a most imperfect world?

Tired of Capricorn? Well She is Still Going Full Charge – With the Lunar Eclipse

Today at 5: 38 PM Eastern which will have a partial lunar eclipse with the Sun in Cancer and the Moon in opposition in Capricorn. Sorry to say, if you are tired of dealing with issues of authority vs. emotions, responsibility vs. compassion, head vs. heart, you might want to hide for a few hours!

These are the themes of this eclipse. Cancer, ruled by the Moon, is now in the opposite and highly structured sign of Capricorn. All of those issues of where you are being too structured or perhaps not structured enough or too emotional or closing off your emotional side – are up for review. That is, if you are willing.

Yes, Mercury went Retrograde

Let the gasping begin! Seriously, few things cause greater consternation than little Mercury turning inward. I hate to fuel the fear but this one will be in Leo, a fire sign, and will occur when Mercury conjuncts Mars and square Uranus. As they used to say in the old Western movies, “them can be fightin’ words.” This is the time to be very careful of what you say – think twice, speak once.

This is a time when we can see wars of words or words causing personal wars. Use this time to study how you should be thinking before you act.

The Dance of Mercury and Jupiter

Now that Mercury has gone retrograde in Sagittarius she will be dancing closely with Jupiter that has just moved into that sign. Around the time of the winter solstice, they will be in a tight conjunction.

Mercury like Sagittarius and it’s ruler, Jupiter, is all about communications. Indeed, this can be a very chatty holiday season for better or worse. The worse would be everyone digging deep inside to air EVERY single issue they have against EVERY family member from the beginning of their time on Earth! The better would be to inwardly assess both sides of the communications issues with family and friends – yes, including your own errors, and making your mind up to make amends.

Let’s hope we all go for the better and all have a happy Thanksgiving!

Jupiter Goes Home to Sagittarius.

On November 8 Jupiter returned home to the constellation it feels most at home, Sagittarius. It takes Jupiter twelve years to go around the zodiac so it remains in a constellation just about a year.

For those with strong Jupiter/Sagittarius influence in their charts – Sun, Moon, ascendant – it is a time for growth, learning and reaching higher levels. Jupiter is constantly pushing us to go beyond boundaries – to see what is on the other side of fence. Set your goals for what you wish to overcome!

However, Jupiter is sometimes too big, too ambitious – and can lead to reckless behavior, drinking, gambling and other forms of risk taking. Jupiter-people sometimes think of themselves as too grand, too smart, too invincible. Keep your head on your shoulders!

For those with Sagittarius North or South Nodes this period is especially profound. If your North Node is involved this is a perfect time to work at living into it’s positive energies. For South Node Sagittarius people, look at the downside – what can you leave behind? How can you make the leap into Gemini North Node while leaving behind the largess, aggrandizement and prevarications that come from a being too deep into your Sagittarius South.

Note: Donald Trump is a Sagittarius South Node. How he will react to this transit? Do you think he will take the route of leaving behind his negatives? Do you, really? Let’s watch and see.

Are we Listening to Pluto?

It is Election Day – with Venus and Uranus in retrograde and our country in Pluto return. Will we allow the forces that are loose in  public – forces of homophobia, misogyny and white nationalism to reign free or will we stand up and say NO! Will women reach deep and say ENOUGH? Pluto puts them front and center – it is up to us to clear it out — or live with the consequences.

A Chatty Halloween

Today Mercury moves into Sagittarius today as Venus retrogrades back into Libra. This is a prescription for discussion particularly with those who are closest to us – business and romantic partnerships. My caution would be for everyone to stop and think before saying anything. Sagittarius has the nasty habit of having to prove how much he knows – how much smarter he is than anyone else around him. Sag. doesn’t always like to talk – he likes to TELL.

This isn’t the time to let it all out –  everything that has ever bothered you about these people — remember in retrograde, Venus brings the gunk up about relationships – and even issues of co-dependence. It is better to perhaps write down what you want to say, cool off and remember you might now always be right!

Mars Go Into Peaceful Pisces Until Nov. 15

I am sure we are all tired of Mars doing the tango with unpredictable Aquarius.  There has been a bit too much upheaval in the world lately. With the Saturn/Pluto retrogrades in full gear don’t expect too much of a slow down of intensity – but Pisces is a place for Mars to rest, regroup and do something he hates – reflect and forgive.

Mars is aggression, action and movement but Pisces tones down that energy and asks you to think first and then act.

He can also ask us to become a “spiritual warrior” when in this position. He can help us turn our energy into a forward spiritual task – to undertake some sort of class, lesson, task that enhances your inner journey. Of course, those who feel they are righteous and correct in their beliefs to a fault will be willing to fight for their right to impose their will on others.

This is an interesting event to have during the Midterm elections. You will have people who are voting to make America gentle again and those who are voting to make it a religious caliphate. Who will win? It all comes down to turn out

The Voice of Venus

I have been talking a lot about Venus as she takes a rare retrograde into Scorpio. Today she is joined by Mercury, the communicator, for a few days. Were I counseling all of the #metoo women or anyone else wanted to expose the rich and powerful I would say do it now. Mercury loves nothing more than to express thoughts and with Venus digging through secretive and powerful Scorpio he wants to pitch those new founded details out into the world.

The feminine energy is getting another boost as Ceres is nearing the Sun. Ceres is the archetype of all that is nurturing and giving.

In short, there is a good deal of feminine energy looking for a place to to be heard. Stay tuned, I think it will be!

Blue Wave, Red Wave…No, PINK Wave

Election Day will occur when Venus is retrograded back into one of its two ruling constellations, Libra. (The other Venus rules is Taurus.) Retrograded Venus will be conjunct the motherly Ceres and a Sun/Moon conjunction or New Moon in deep penetrating Scorpio. This is serious girl power. Many woman voting will be doing so not for themselves but for their daughters (Ceres) as they manifest (a New Moon activity) a new world order.

Saturn will be on the progressed Moon of our national chart, signifying the battle of the paternal (Saturn) and the emotional, feminine energy (Moon.)

This powerful placement will be in the 11th house of the US, that which signifies groups coming together to make changes – big changes – to the status quo.

Expect miscommunications and even interference again into our system as retrograded Neptune crosses the third house.

Neither side is going to get exactly what they want – the patriarchy will get something to be thankful for but this will be a surge of pink energy the likes of which we have never seen before. Go Pink.
