Should Hillary Run?

Okay, I know the frenzy about who should be the new president two seconds after the current one is inaugurated is silly but it did get me thinking about Hillary Clinton’s chart. We don’t know what time she was born and for my purposes today that is not all that important. What is so interesting to me about her chart is her nodal axis. You know that as a karmic astrologer I am a freak about the north and south nodes. The north nodes is where we are going toward in this lifetime – and the south node is where we are coming from in the past.

Regardless of what time she as born, Hillary Clinton has a south node in Scorpio and a north in Taurus. Someone with this axis is coming from a past life that was full of drama and pathos. Scorpios just love to immerse themselves in the deep intrigues of life. Life and death battles are the juice they feed on. Of course, she has seen her share of drama in this life too.

However, with a north node in Taurus, she needs to move away from the drama and find stability and security in the world. Scorpio wants the fight while Taurus likes to be in the pasture, carefree and peaceful. The big lessons Taurus north node people is how to find personal safety. They need to leave the drama behind.

Can you leave drama behind as President of the United States? I doubt it. I am not one to judge whether a person gets into their north node or how they should do it. However, I do know that if she decides not to run she will be heading the call of the universe instead of the call of her supporters. Is that a better path? Only she knows for sure.

Bill’s Speech

I am laughing because, like with the Republican Convention, I should have looked at other people on the speaker schedule. For the GOP it should have been Clint Eastwood and for the Dems., Bill Clinton.

We, of course, know about his incredible charisma — look at all of those planets in his natal first house, including Venus and Mars! However, what was “cooking” the night of his incredible speech before the Convention? Look at his progressed chart (the middle chart). A progressed chart is simply showing how the planets have progressed from the natal position in a person’s life.

In his third house, the house of communications, he currently has his ascendant, Mars, Neptune, Venus transiting and Jupiter and Juno are closely connected to those planets. His ascendant, how he projects, his energy, Mars, his ability to dream, Neptune and his Venus, the beauty and elegance planet are all there in his house of communication! With Jupiter there – the ability to be expansive – and reach people and Juno his loyalty asteroid there how could he not have been effective in reaching people with his words.

Fortunately, he also has Saturn progressed in his first and transiting his first giving him the ability to concentrate and focus – something he well not always has!

Venus on the first – Clinton and Limbaugh

After my little walk through Rush Limbaugh’s chart last week (don’t worry, I washed afterwards), I got thinking of another person with Venus in the first house – the house of personality – yes, it is Bill Clinton. OK Venus on the first house normally indicates someone who has a certain amount of appeal. Now my progressive friends stop making retching sounds, like him or not Rushie Boy wouldn’t have gotten this far if he didn’t appeal to a number of people! As for Clinton, well we all know how his appeal works.

As I said last week, Rush’s Venus is in the quirky and rebellious Aquarius and carries some pretty heavy karma with it. Basically his mouth is compensating for a whole host of inadequacies.

President Clinton’s Venus is in its ruling sign – Libra – which increases his sexual appeal. He doesn’t haven’t to rely on rebellion he can rely on the sexual energy of Libra – and –oh boy is this a hoot —his Venus is conjunct both Neptune and Venus! So he has a double dose of Venus energy – Venus is the sign of the woman – and of sexuality and of physical appeal. Add Neptune to the mix – with its air of unreality and well you can see the issues he had.

Two Venus placements in the first bring both of their people to some prominence but they don’t yield the same results – it is all about the aspects they make with other planets.
